Classical music is an essential element in the cultural life of any community. The mission of WDAV is to make classical music accessible to everyone.

In carrying out our Mission, we will

Use the medium of radio broadcast to make classical music available throughout each day to all citizens without regard to income, age, class or ethnicity.
Introduce non-listeners and casual listeners to the richness and diversity that the world of classical music encompasses.
Provide opportunities for curious listeners to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of classical music.
Work to ensure the vitality of live classical music performance in our communities.
Explore and exploit, for the public benefit, the many synergies that exist between classical music and other art forms.
Use all appropriate media to extend the reach and scope of our activities.
