In 1991, at age 16, Israeli-born violinist Vadim Gluzman was granted a five minute audition with legendary master Isaac Stern. Maestro Stern was immediately captivated and set young Vadim upon the path to what is now a very successful international career.

Jerusalem String Quartet

Franz Schubert composed his song, “Death and the Maiden” in 1817 and seven years later used the main theme as the basis for his famous string quartet of the same name.

Hiller: Piano Concertos

As a young teenager, German pianist Ferdinand Hiller became friends with Felix Mendelssohn. He also was acquainted with Beethoven. With such inspiration Hiller became one of a number of very successful travelling composer-pianists in the 19th century.
