WDAV 89.9 - WDAV 89.9 - Sam Van Hallgren

Sam Van Hallgren started his career in radio as an Arts Desk intern at WBEZ Chicago Public Radio. He went on to work with WBEZ's This American Life and with 88Nine Radio Milwaukee (WYMS) in Milwaukee, WI, as the station's producer and program director.

Sam was also a co-founder and co-host of the popular film podcast Filmspotting. He relocated to Davidson, NC, in the summer of 2009, with his wife Carrie and son David. In addition to his on-air work at WDAV, Sam acts as one of the station's producers. Sam is a native of New Hampshire and a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, OH.
