Charlotte's Brodt Music Company to close after 78 years Brodt Music TileBrodt Music Company has served the Charlotte community since 1934. Due to financial constraints resulting from the 2008 recession and a continuing movement toward web-based print music sales, Brodt Music will close at the end of October 2012. The local fixture provided support to area churches, schools and hosted renown artist such as Kathleen Battle and Itzhak Perlman.
