Reel Music Halloween! HorrorGet set to enjoy a Reel Music Halloween “Fright Fest."  The subject is horror movies, one of the most popular genres in filmmaking, and one which has given us some truly remarkable scores. You’ll hear excerpts from classics such as Bride of Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and The Wolfman, as well as from landmark entries into the horror film canon such as Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.  Film music scholar Neil Lerner is also on hand to talk about the avant-garde musical techniques that are commonplace in horror movie scores, as well as their roots in – of all things – the 19th century art song of Franz Schubert. Hosted by Frank Dominguez.
