A Story Without Words

You will hear a piece of music that goes through many changes. Sometimes it's bright and cheerful, sometimes it's mysterious, sometimes it's funny. Try thinking of each different mood as a character or event in a story the music is telling. Each time you get an idea, write it down. If you hear something that sounds like a big party, write down "big party." Maybe you'll hear a spy sneaking around in the woods. Or a bunch of rabbits having a hopping contest. Whatever you hear, write it down as soon as you get an idea. Then, share your ideas with your class as you listen to the music again. You'll be able to weave together a funny story using ideas from the class.
