Holy Week Specials: March 20 – March 23
You’re
invited to tune in today and Friday for special complete
presentations commemorating the Easter Holy Week. Beethoven’s
Christ on the Mount of Olives will
air tonight (3/20) at 9:30 pm. On Friday, 3/21, we’ll
present Dvorák’s Stabat Mater
at 9:00pm. This special presentation is the last made
by legendary conductor Robert Shaw and features excerpts
from an interview with him about the composition.

Fleisher On WDAV
Renowned
pianist Leon Fleischer visits Charlotte for a concert
presented by the Friends of Music at Queens University
Saturday, 3/29, 8 p.m. Fleischer made his professional
debut with the New York Philharmonic in 1944 at the
age of 16, and just last year he was awarded a Kennedy
Center Honor in Washington, DC. WDAV’s Rachel
Jeffreys speaks with him Saturday at 11:30 am.
Chanticleer
