Holocaust Memorial Day – Special Program

WDAV airs Hans Krása's children's opera Brundibár in recognition of Holocaust Memorial Day. Brundibár, a fairy tale of innocence triumphing over evil, was performed by the children of the World War II Terezin concentration camp. The broadcast features interviews with a survivor who sang in the opera and with award-winning playwright Tony Kushner who wrote the English libretto. Airs Saturday, 5/3 at 6 p.m.
