Thanks for Your Support!

Thanks to you WDAV met its end of fiscal year goal! We are delighted to report that our one-day on-air campaign was a great success, raising over $21,000, exceeding our goal. Nearly half of that total was contributed via our online pledge form; so a big thanks to all those who pledged literally from around the country to help support all WDAV’s programs – including our Internet streams. You make a difference you can hear every day! From all of us at WDAV, many thanks for your support.

Reel Music: Celebrating the Classic Movie Score

WDAV 89.9 celebrates the classic movie score Sunday afternoons at 4 p.m. (EST) with an hour-long, eight-week series that traces the development of the art of film music from the so-called "silent era" to the present day. Reel Music, hosted by Ted Weiner, also features commentary by Davidson College associate professor of music Neil Lerner, a noted authority on movie scores. The program first aired last January but returns with four brand new episodes. See a complete schedule, as well as recommended recordings, at the Reel Music Page at wdav.org.

Return to Main Street

Jennifer Foster plays host at The Main Street Sessions starting Sunday, July 9th at 3:00 pm. These weekly sessions were recorded in WDAV’s own Clark Performance Studio and feature both established local musicians as well as some of the area's "hidden treasures." Exciting performances are augmented by insightful conversations on the artists' music and lives. Sundays at 3 p.m (EST). For a complete schedule and list of performers, visit The Main Street Sessions page.
