From the Desk of LuAnn Ritsema

LuAnn RitsemaHi. I’m LuAnn Ritsema, WDAV Director of Marketing. You may have noticed that eNews has been on a bit of a hiatus this summer. Well, we’re back with a new look and style that we hope you’ll find informative and useful. It is, of course, a work in progress and we welcome your feedback anytime at wdav@davidson.edu with questions or comments you’d like to share.

Check out the BBC Proms specials coming up next week. I listened last year to the live broadcast – its hard to explain but there’s something exciting and uplifting about knowing that the music is coming to you live from London. I recommended the program highly.

Have a great Labor Day weekend. Travel carefully and stay safe.

Find out why its fans are so devoted by tuning in next week as WDAV broadcasts festival highlights at 9:00 pm, Monday, Septebmer 5 through Friday, September 9. And above all, be sure to tune in on Saturday, September 10th at 2:30 pm for the sometimes raucous, sometimes stirring, always iconic Last Night of the Proms broadcast LIVE from London’s Royal Albert Hall. A Cole Porter classic opens the 2005-2006 season for Theatre Charlotte. Kiss Me Kate offers up a great score and lots of laughs suitable for all ages.
