Live from WDAV Today! – The American Chamber Players

They are the American Chamber Players and WDAV is excited to welcome them back to our Clark Performance Studio for a live broadcast this Friday.

Led by violist and NPR Commentator Miles Hoffman, the innovative chamber ensemble is in town for a concert at Davidson College’s Tyler Tallman Hall as part of the Davidson Concert Series (details on that at our events calendar). ). The six members of the ensemble are known for both their innovative programming and their extraordinary, dynamic performances.

Minnesota Orchestra Highlights - Tosca

Osmo VanskaComing up this Sunday on the Minnesota Orchestra -- Osmo Vanska leads the ensemble in a concert performance of Puccini’s dramatic Tosca featuring acclaimed soprano Deborah Voigt in the title role. Also featured are tenor Carl Tanner, baritone Greer Grimsley, the Minnesota Chorale and the Minnesota Boychoir. Sunday, October 15 at 12:00 noon. Carolina Live Accepting New Recordings

Carolina Live, WDAV's showcase for local and regional artists and performances, is actively looking for professional-quality recordings from around our area for possible use in our upcoming season. This December, there'll be something new: a Carolina Live Holiday Special. In order to be considered for broadcast this December OR for the new season in spring of 2007, your recordings must be received by November 1st.
