Shannon Lee Visits WDAV

Fourteen-year-old violin prodigy Shannon Lee visits the WDAV studios this week for a conversation with Jennifer Foster. This exciting young artist is in town for two appearances this weekend with the Charlotte Symphony performing the emotionally demanding Sibelius concerto. The young performer made her professional debut last year with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and has been garnering praise nationally. Featured Event: CSO Neighborhood Concert

The Charlotte Symphony hits the road for another Neighborhood Concert, this time at Davidson College on November 18th. We're especially pleased about this one as the program features the world premiere of a work by Davidson professor Jennifer Stasack and a preconcert reception with a panel discussion led by WDAV's Frank Dominguez (special ticket price for concert and reception). The NY Phil with Strings Attached!

Gil ShahamViolinist Gil Shaham will be the very special guest artist on Friday's edition (11/10) of The NY Philharmonic This Week. He'll be featured in Violin Concertos by Mozart and Stravinsky.
