Dear WDAV Listeners, After hitting the “pause” button on our fall membership drive last month, WDAV 89.9 Classical Public Radio is set to “press play” and resume our Celebration 2008 On-Air Membership Drive this Thursday, Nov. 13. Public broadcasters don't suspend on-air campaigns often, but we felt it was the right thing to do. Now, with the election behind us and a more stabilized economic environment in the region, we’re ready to pick up where we left off and raise the funds that are essential for us. When we suspended the drive last month, we heard from so many of you who applauded our approach - thank you! We are confident you will again approve our decision and will help us meet our fundraising goal quickly. WDAV’s Celebration 2008 On-Air Membership Drive will raise $200,000 total – with $106,500 remaining in this renewed effort. We promise you a "hit and quit” campaign: when the $106,500 is reached, WDAV 89.9 will return to its classical music programming. If you responded to our membership call last month, thank you!
