Mid-century art meets mid-century music on the first Friday of each month at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. Concerts are performed by the Ziad Jazz Quartet from 6 to 8 p.m. in the museum lobby and feature local and regional jazz artists.

October 5 - Families in Jazz Connecting to the exhibition Giacometti: Memory and Presence&rdquo - which includes works by the three Giacometti brothers - the Ziad Jazz Quartet features music by jazz artists who are family members including John and Ravi Coltrane; Jimmy Heath and the Heath Brothers; Percy and Albert; Cannonball and Nat Adderley; and brothers Thad, Hank and Elvin Jones. Songs include "For Minors Only," "Fifth House," "Jive Samba&rdquo" and & "Lady Luck."
