The Davidson College Department of Theatre invites the public to performances of the play Sonia Flew from Wednesday, February 20, through Sunday, February 24. Written by Wellesley College professor Melinda Lopez, Sonia Flew won the Elliott Norton Award for best new play in 2009. Associate Professor of Theatre Sharon Green directs this family drama, which examines the ways world events affect the lives of ordinary people. Performances will be in the Barber Theatre of the Cunningham Theatre Center, February 20-23 at 7:30 p.m. and February 24 at 2 p.m. It is recommended for ages 12 and up. Associate Professor of Political Science Russell Crandall will lead a talkback discussion of the play following the February 21 performance. General admission tickets are $5 to $10.
