  • A multimedia musical presentation, “Mill Village” is a chronicle of the mill communities of North and South Carolina and was inspired by oral histories of members of local mill communities collected by musicians and staff of the Charlotte Symphony. A panel discussion will follow featuring “Mill Village” composer David Crowe; Tom Hanchett, curator of the Levine Museum of the New South; Barbara Presnell, a poet and teacher; photographer Phil Moody; and Jon Wells, director of UNC Charlotte’s Center for the Study of the New South.
