"49ers Football: The Impact on Town and Gown" will explore UNC Charlotte’s newest sport, as part of the “Sports in the New South: Culture, Color and Cash” lecture series. The free public event will be held at UNC Charlotte Center City and is sponsored by the UNCC Center for the Study of the New South and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Complimentary parking at 319 E. 9th Street and 422 E. 9th Street lots, across 9th Street and Brevard Street from the building. Attendants will direct guests.
Panelists are: Danny Morrison, President, Carolina Panthers; Philip L. Dubois, Chancellor, UNC Charlotte; Judith W. Rose, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, UNC Charlotte; and Jeffrey B. Leak, Director, Center for the Study of the New South, UNC Charlotte. The moderator is Sonja Gantt, anchor and reporter for WCNC.
