The Brevard Music Center Orchestra opens the program with the brilliant Overture to Le corsaire by Hector Berlioz followed by the rising concert violinist Elena Urioste performing Barber's Violin Concerto. Conductor Larry Rachleff will also present two of Ravel's orchestral masterpieces, from graceful to grandiose, La Valse and Daphnis and Chloé Suite No. 2. Ticket holders are invited to a free pre-concert lecture in Thomas Hall at 2:00pm.
